Energy for Australians - Share Your Story Competition Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to the 'Share Your Story' competition run by Energy for Australians Incorporated (INC2400855). By entering this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older.
Employees, agents, and affiliates of Energy for Australians, and their immediate families, are not eligible to enter.
Participants must provide a valid Australian address and proof of identity upon request.
3. How to Enter
To enter, participants must submit a video (maximum length: 1 minute) detailing their personal story about the challenges of paying energy bills.
The entry must be submitted via the official competition page, along with the entrant’s first name, last name, email address, postcode, and a copy of their most recent energy bill.
One entry per person. Any duplicate entries will be disregarded.
4. Judging Criteria
The competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners.
Entries will be judged by a panel appointed by Energy for Australians.
The judging criteria include:
Emotional impact: How moving or heartfelt the story is.
Clarity and storytelling: How well the story is communicated.
Relevance: How clearly the story relates to struggles with energy bills.
The decision of the judges is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. Prizes
A maximum of 5 winners will be selected to receive $500 each.
The prize will be paid directly to the participant.
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
6. Winner Notification and Acceptance
Winners will be notified via mobile and social media on 06/05/2025.
Winners must respond within 24 hours to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond, the prize will be forfeited, and a new winner will be selected.
7. Intellectual Property and Consent
By entering, participants consent to their video and story being published and used for promotional purposes by Energy for Australians.
Participants grant a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and publish their submission.
8. Privacy
Personal information will be collected and used only for the purpose of conducting this competition and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By entering, participants agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Disqualification
The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:
Is incomplete, misleading, or fraudulent.
Violates any law or infringes on any third-party rights.
Contains inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content.
10. Liability
Energy for Australians is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, loss of entries, or other errors.
To the extent permitted by law, Energy for Australians excludes all liability for any loss or damage incurred by participants.
11. Modification or Cancellation
Energy for Australians reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if unforeseen circumstances arise.
